MPs EMERGENCY FUND


The idea of the MPs Emergency Fund was mooted by the Board  of Trustees of the Ghana Education Trust Fund for limited period and approved by Parliament.

It came into effect in 2002. Each Member of Parliament was devoted to emergency  projects in pre-tertiary institution in his/her  constituency.

The  idea was to stem the tide against the phenomenon where school activities were disruted as a result of the destruption of classroom blocks and other indastructure through disaster caused by rainstorm, fire, landslide, etc.
